When something looks wrong
Birds off their feed, unusual droppings, a sudden drop in laying. Send a photo and describe what changed; early is cheaper than late.
When you want to grow
Whether to add birds, add houses, or switch breed. The answer depends on your feed cost and your buyer, not on what worked for someone else.
